After teasing us for many months, Drake has finally released his highly anticipated, fourth studio album VIEWS.
Since VIEWS was initially announced in August 2014, Drizzy has dropped two platinum selling mix-tapes (If Your’e Reading This Its Too Late and What a Time to Be Alive) whilst working on his masterpiece full-length LP. The Canadian artist took to Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio show to premiere the project alongside Zane Lowe in a special edition of OVOSOUND Radio.
The album boasts a range of collaborators including Rihanna, Future, PARTYNEXTDOOR and OVO signee dvsn to name a few. Production credits have also been released, displaying OVO affiliate Noah “40” Shebib as the producer behind the majority of songs.
The Toronto native always proudly has his city on his back and revealed during his OVOSOUND Radio interview that Views was influenced by the changing seasons in Toronto.
”The album is based around the change of the season in our city. It starts around in wintertime. Starts with “Keep The Family Close.” Winter to summer and back to winter again. It’s just to show you the two extreme moods that we have. We love our summers but we also make our winters work…You start to value your days a lot more when most people won’t go outside type of thing…It creates a different person. I thought it was important to make the album here during the winter.”
To go alongside the release, Drizzy also included a digital booklet containing some lavish photos (See images below).
You can purchase the album from iTunes.
